Our rural Homeopathic clinic needs your help! Dr Loretta Ferrucci_ an EXCO member of the Homeopathic Association of South Africa (HSA) had a dream to open a Homeopathic clinic. She reaslised that dream and opened the Khula Natural Health Center in September 2023_ in Ncera village outside East London_ South Africa. The village is situated in a rural area and the population are largely unemployed with many child-headed and elderly-headed households_ and many living below the bread-line. Next month the clinic will be one year old BUT they won't be able to open unless we get an influx of much needed funds. A few of our larger donors from last year were unable to donate again this year. We need about 1000 Euros a month to keep the clinic open. We have potential funding from January of 2025 and thus are looking for support to keep the clinic open for the next 4 months (September - December). It has been the focus of the HSA to grow our community clinics in order that we can prove concept of the effectivity of Homeopathy in rural settings in SA_ as well as the cost benefits of Homeopathy as a healing modality. This clinic was modeled off the successful Khula Clinic in KZN another rural area in South Africa. We have been able to draw invaluable data regarding the cost of Homeopathic treatment_ the diseases treated and managed_ and the patients' benefits of receiving Homeopathic care. This information is being collated and presented to our government_ so that we can be included in our National Health Insurance initiative. We rely on the clinics and the data provided to state Homeopathy's case for the South African Health Insurance plan and to promote Homeopathy in South Africa. EVERY little bit helps! We are asking our European and International colleagues to consider donating to our cause. We charge a patient R10 to open a patient file (50cents). The rest we pay for. The clinic is a beacon of hope_ providing care to nearly 1_000 patients_ each with a unique story and health challenge. The patients are so grateful for the care_ and the treatment of diseases such as epilepsy_ skin conditions_ arthritis_ acute ailments_ hypertension and the list goes on!
