Since 2025, he has directed the Scientific and Methodological Center for Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine, established at the N.A. Semashko National Research Institute of Public Health. Its activities are aimed at developing the scientific and methodological foundations of integrative medicine, participating in international cooperation and forming modern educational and clinical standards for the methods of traditional, complementary and integrative medicine. The Historical and Regulatory Status of Homeopathy in Russia The official development of homeopathy in Russia dates back to 1833, when Emperor Nicholas I signed the Imperial Decree establishing homeopathy as a medical discipline, developing in private practice. Since 1995, homeopathy has been incorporated into the state healthcare system (Order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation No. 335). This ensured the official recognition of the treatment method and opened a new stage in its development in medical science and clinical practice. Since 2010, homeopathic medicines have been recognized as a separate category in the Federal Law "On the Circulation of Medicines" and included in the State (National) Pharmacopoeia of the Russian Federation, which has established quality standards and the legal status of these drugs. Current data on the perception and use of homeopathy (VCIOM, April 2025) Research shows that awareness of homeopathy among Russians is 69%. Trust in homeopathic medicines has reached 32% (an increase of 7 percentage points compared to 2017), and among those who are well informed, it is 44%. Among those with personal experience, 59% consider the method to be effective to some extent, and the same number use the medicines regularly or systematically. The homeopathic medicine market has demonstrated steady growth over the past two years. Approximately 25% of Russian doctors prescribe homeopathic medicines to patients upon request, reflecting the growing interest in integrative medical approaches.
