I graduated in medicine in 1986. After graduating, I began my studies in General Surgery, but in 1991, I became interested in Homeopathy, because traditional medicine was not bringing me the best results and I saw many patients undergoing surgery and having their conditions worsened by a technique that did not take the patient as a whole into consideration. I specialized in Homeopathy in two different courses, one that had a more eclectic approach and the other with a pure Hahnemannian approach, through which I arrived at true Homeopathy, using it in the care of my patients. Through the Homeopathic Study Group of São Paulo, created by the excellent Dr. George Galvão Nogueira and his disciples, I became active in the homeopathic clinic and began to teach and delve deeper and deeper into my studies, becoming interested in publishing some scientific articles. Today I am part of the coordination of the Homeopathy course at the George Galvão Hahnemannian Institute, together with other colleagues, and I am the President of AMHB, fulfilling the commitment of our board of directors to stand alongside Brazilian homeopaths in defending our specialty.

Homeopathy was introduced to Brazil over 150 years ago by the frenchman Benoit Mure. We are one of the 55 medical specialities recognized by the Federal Council of Medicine since 1980 and the Brazilian Homeopathic Medical Association, created in 1979, is the body that represents us at a national level in scientific, ethical, social, legal and economic issues.

We have 12 federations, 03 medical residency programs, 16 postgraduate courses and around 600 members throughout the nation. Today we have around 2,600 active specialists in the national territory. Our doctors are evaluated through a proficiency exam that gives the candidate who passes the test the possibility of applying for the title of specialist with the Brazilian medical association. The new board of directors of AMHB was sworn in in January 2024 and will have a 3-year term. Members:
